Fair's Opening Day Offers Free Admission, Corndog - updated 7/21
Be part of history with record-setting opening ceremonies at the 2008 Iowa State Fair. On August 7 get free admission at the gate from 5-8:30 a.m. and then head to the Grandstand to help set a world record for the most people simultaneously eating a corndog. Click here for updated information.

Flood Update 6/18/2008
The Iowa State Fair's thoughts and sympathies are with all Iowans and fellow Midwesterners who have been impacted directly or indirectly by the devastating storms and floods across the region. The Fairgrounds have not been damaged by the flooding in Des Moines and all Fairgrounds activities and events are proceeding as scheduled.
